Helps create a moist environment conducive to healing and protecting the wound. L-Mesitran Soft is a hydroactive gel containing 40% clinical-grade honey. Upon contact with the wound, the gel promotes drainage of fluids from surrounding tissues, creating a moist environment that favors the healing process. The formula also contains hypoallergenic clinical-grade lanolin (Medilan®), propylene glycol, PEG 4000, and vitamins C and E. The gel gradually dissolves, facilitating its removal during cleaning, and does not adhere to the wound. It is suitable for the care of different types of wounds, including chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, oncological wounds, and 1st and 2nd-degree burns.
Clean the wound and surrounding skin beforehand. Apply a thin layer of L-Mesitran Soft directly to the clean wound or burn. Cover with a non-woven dressing or other suitable secondary dressing. The dressing can be changed once a day or every 2 to 3 days, depending on the wound condition and the healthcare professional's instructions.
Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to the product or any of its components. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only.
