Mepore Pro is an absorbent adhesive dressing indicated for the protection of surgical wounds, cuts, and abrasions with light to moderate exudate. Its structure is designed to absorb blood and fluids from the wound, helping to protect the area during the healing process. The outer film is water-resistant and acts as a barrier against moisture and bacteria, allowing showering without compromising wound protection when the dressing is correctly applied. The film is also permeable to water vapor, contributing to moisture management. The dressing integrates an absorbent pad with a low-adherent contact layer, designed to minimize the risk of adhesion to the wound. The water-based adhesive was developed to provide secure fixation, taking into account skin tolerance.
Clean the wound and carefully dry the surrounding skin, following the recommendations of a healthcare professional. Remove the protective paper and apply the dressing to the wound, ensuring that the adhesive is in contact with dry, intact skin. Do not stretch the dressing during application. Replace it as needed for the wound and as recommended by the healthcare professional. Do not reuse.
